I've known Chris and Marianne Fisher from Tread the Globe for a long time now, and it's been amazing to see their YouTube career flourish as they've travelled the world in their trusty Fiat Ducato. I covered their story in my first travel book 'Road Life', with Chris talking about getting rid of everything including the TV and saying goodbye to their beloved bath so that they could head out on the open road and live a nomadic lifestyle.

Millions of viewers across the globe have followed their adventures so far, and now, after a brief stop back in the UK, they've come up with a new plan to visit 52 countries in a new custom built 4X4 Toyota Hilux. Their last van was called Trudy - now get ready to meet Trevor.
The trip they have planned is truly wild. The truck itself is being made in Malaysia and then shipped to New Zealand. They will drive from there to Telford, and then from Shropshire to Cape Town, before finishing with a trip from Argentina to Alaska.

This is Chris and Marianne treading the globe like never before, heading to the far corners of our planet and getting truly off grid for their audience. They'll pass through amazing places like Turkey, Kazakhstan, China, Thailand, Australia, and more on their trip, inspiring new generations of nomads to get out into the world, and also helping those who don't like to leave the comfort of their homes for the open road (my mum, for example) to experience the beauty of the world from the safety of their living room.

The trip is set to commence in a few weeks, and I for one will be following along closely to keep tabs on what they get up to! Head to the Tread the Globe YouTube to follow their adventure!
